Mr. Pitts, like a lot of us, has come a very long way from his famous column published after 9/11.

I had not seen Mr.Pitts' 9-11 columun but it's similar to what many in this country felt at the same time. That's why BushCheney's popularity shot up. I think most Americans are beginning to feel jerked around at seeing the spurious ends to which BushCheney is hijacking their patriotism
